Kalakshetra Kanjivaram Saree has its own significance, First Kalakshetra saree was woven in 1937, using a very hard technique called Korvai (interlacing two different colors silk threads) . This is a traditional Kalakshetra saree in a mint green color with white muttu kattam pattern all over saree and brilliant chilli red borders adorned with fiery golden zari. Border has rudraksham neli traditional pattern woven in pure four gram zari. Palla is adorned with row of parrots (kili motifs), deer and flower designs. This poetic and colorful saree can make you look lovely on any occasion.
You may bump into irregularities on the fabric but they're the indicators that the fabric is purely handwoven and is not a result of digital printing or machine work. ‘Imperfect is beautiful!’
