This handwoven Paithani silk saree in saffron base indulges in authentic kalamkari drawn in popping earthy colors. The kalamkari concept employed is called "Aranya" depicting a forest scene surmounting various animals, trees, flowers, etc. It also has a hand-embroidered marodi border all over the saree in a vibrant contrasting purple color. Saree was woven in Yeola, Maharashtra, kalamkari was drawn in Sri Kalahasthi,Andhra Pradesh and embroidery was done in Kolkata.This saree is a true artistic reflection from various parts of India.
